It’s not just being based in the same building that makes this such a great partnership, but it does make it very easy! UCL School of Management has been collaborating with Level39 in many ways, with our students, staff and Level39 members all benefiting from the relationship.
Student Dissertation projects
The MSc Business Analytics team have worked with Level39 members for a few years now. Members scope a data-centric project which the students then work on in the summer term, delivering a dissertation to the university and agreed outputs to the company.
Current Level39 member Mike McCloskey of Utilidex has scoped several projects for our students over the years. “All the students we have worked with have been absolutely great. Highlights for me are the level of motivation and intellect, their ability to view problems with clarity and logic and their willingness to work very hard to do the best they can.”

linking students with exciting start-ups
Recently our careers team joined with Level39 to host a meet-up between our students and the innovative start-ups and small companies that call Level39 their home.
Students heard directly from start-up founders about their companies, the exciting projects they’re working on, and the job opportunities they have available. This was a great chance for them to network with industry professionals, learn about cutting-edge technologies, and potentially kickstart their careers in the start-up world.
Students who attended were from the following UCL School of Management programmes: MSc Entrepreneurship, MSc Business Analytics, MSc Management, and MSc Finance.
