Paper from Joost Rietvield & Joe Ploog wins Platform Leaders Academic Prize

UCL School of Management Associate Professor Joost Rietveld and PhD student Joe Ploog's co-authored paper entitled 'Rolling the Dice: How to Resolve Demand Uncertainty in Markets with Partial Network Effects' recently won the Platform Leaders Academic Prize. Published in the Academy of Management Journal, the paper explores the strategic presence of partial network effects through an analysis of almost 20,000 board games and their subsequent impact on performance.

The Next Generation of Entrepreneurs for Ukraine Lecture Series welcomed Viktor and Denys Gurskyi, partners of the London-based multi-service organisation VC 1991, for a guest lecture. As one of the first supporters of the Lecture Series, VC 1991 is a London-based seed venture fund investing in mission-driven CEE and Ukrainian founders. Recently, it secured a $10 million donation from Google to fund its accelerator programme, which supports startups in Central and Eastern Europe, including Ukraine.
