Congratulations are in order for the incredible team behind UCL School of Management’s BSc Information Management for Business (IMB) programme, who received UCL’s Inclusive Practice Award at a ceremony in London last night. The award recognises and celebrates a recent project from the IMB team that hopes to support the experiences of A2UCL, disability and mature students at the university.
In May 2023, the IMB team were awarded the Student Success Fund to run a project focused specifically on the IMB programme and their initiative aimed to deepen the team’s understanding of the experiences of A2UCL, disability and mature students at UCL. The team began their efforts by collecting all the secondary data available from various sources and then used thematic analysis to study the interviews and identify trends that could be used to inform their efforts in providing support for the aforementioned student groups.
The team’s incredible efforts were recognised at last night’s Widening Participation and Student Success Community of Practice Awards, where their project was nominated in two categories: the Inclusive Practice Award and the Student Success Award.
Congratulations again to the IMB team (Nicola Cockerton, Maria Gemmell, Maya Cara, Noelle Yip and Edyta Kostanek), as well as the fantastic IMB students who participated in and supported this project.
