UCLSoM alumnus Peter Monteza named in Sifted's 'Founders to Watch in 2024'

We are thrilled to share that MSci Management Science alumnus Peter Monteza was recently named one of Sifted’s ‘Founders to Watch in 2024’ in recognition of fitness app and startup MyARC. Released annually, the list highlights the startups who have received backing from financial services giant Morgan Stanley.

Founded in 2021, MyARC is a platform that enables fitness creators to train their fans at scale. MyARC has already enabled fitness creators to go from earning a minimum wage to six-figure incomes, and is on track to create multiple millionaires on the platform. However, their success is not limited to company’s fitness creators. Every day, consumers are also thriving on MyARC and the platform has transformed the lives of thousands of users worldwide, from people overcoming obesity to those whose lives have been impacted by cancer.

In the three years since its launch, MyARC has gone on to achieve incredible success. The platform has gone through the globally recognised startup accelerator Techstars, who earlier this year made a second investment into MyARC alongside a number of other well-known funds and angels. The company was also named as the best SEIS company in the UK for this year’s Enterprise Investment Scheme Association (EISA), which saw Peter travel to the House of Lords to accept the Award. While at UCL School of Management, Peter had applied for graduate roles at Morgan Stanley with little success. Years later, he is thrilled to see them invest in his company.
