UCL School of Management Associate Professor Ersin Korpeoglu has recently been appointed an Associate Editor of Management Science, a peer-reviewed scholarly journal that publishes scientific research on the theory and practice of management to an international audience.
One of the leading journals in the field, Management Science covers research that explores all aspects of management, including strategy, entrepreneurship, innovation, accounting, finance and marketing. As an Associate Editor within the ‘Entrepreneurship and Innovation’ subcategory, alongside academics from Harvard University and Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Ersin’s work will be largely focused within this area.
In order to guage the relevance and importance of a particular journal, scholars often cite the Impact Factor, a figure that indicates the mean number of citations of articles published within the past two years. With a 2021 impact factor of 6.172, up from 4.219 in 2018, Management Science has established itself as a major journal within the field of strategy and management.
Upon receiving the news, Ersin said: “I’m very happy with the appointment. It is an honour to serve on the editorial board of our field’s top journal’.
