On Tuesday 17 September, UCL School of Management hosted NTT DATA’s annual eAwards at Finnovation event. The eAwards are designed to promote entrepreneurship and networking among industry leaders and innovative start-up companies, who are committed to the wider social good.
Six entrepreneurial companies competed in this competition, with Alex Somervell, Co-Founder and CEO of Ask Silver walking away with the 2024 eAwards. Alex presented his company’s scam checking tool, which is designed to attach itself to Whatsapp and provides users with updates on the latest scams, and analyses suspicious messages and parcels.
Alex Somervell commented “This was the first business competition we pitched for, so it was even more amazing to actually win it! The recognition gained from this event has helped to raise our profile with key stakeholders and the contacts that have been made from this event, is extremely valuable. A huge thank you to NTT DATA for this opportunity.”
