We are delighted to share that Professor Davide Ravasi has been confirmed as the next director of the UCL School of Management for a period of five years in the first instance.
Davide took on the leadership role in July 2021 as the interim director with the aim of leading the School to contribute to important, public conversations around the dramatic transformations currently underway in the business community and in the wider world.
The news came only days after Davide had presented an ambitious plan for the school to enter a new phase of growth. Davide said he will lead to school to do this “by leveraging further our core competences in technology, analytics, innovation and entrepreneurship to address rising expectations for business schools to contribute to tackle broader societal challenges, ranging from social and environmental sustainability, to diversity and inclusion, implementation of new technologies, and social change. I could not think of a better foundation for this plan than being part of a world-leading, comprehensive university such as UCL, and I am looking forward to intensifying cross-disciplinary collaborations in this direction.”
Upon making the announcement the Dean of Engineering Sciences, Professor Nigel Titchener-Hooker said:
I am really excited by this and would like to thank all of you for supporting Davide during his period as interim Director. I look forward to that support continuing as we work together to fulfil the ambitions and potential of this amazing school. Whilst there are tricky times ahead globally there are also exciting opportunities and I believe that under Davide’s leadership, and with your support, much can be done of which you will all be very proud.
We look forward to working with Davide and seeing what he has in store for the UCL School of Management in the coming years.
