MSc Entrepreneurship alumnus raises over £1 million for pet food startup

UCL School of Management Alumnus Harry Bremner has raised an incredible £1.1 million in a recent round of funding for his sustainable pet food startup Tuggs. With investments from a number of institutional investors, as well as angel investors, this round of funding marks a significant milestone for the business.

Harry graduated from our MSc Entrepreneurship programme in 2021, developing and building the business during his time on the programme. A sustainable alternative to traditional pet food, Tuggs provides insect-based dog food recipes that are tailored to meet the needs of each dog. The business works with an expert team of vets, nutritionists and dieticians to provide specialist diets, which are then delivered directly to the customer’s door.

Since its official launch in 2022, Tuggs has gone on to achieve phenomenal success. The business was chosen by Nestlé to pitch at the Unleashed PetTech Summit in Paris, and has become the official partner of Wunderdog Rescue. Earlier this year, Harry was also one of three UCL School of Management alumni to feature on the Forbes’ 30-under-30 list, appearing in the Retail & Ecommerce category.
