Earlier this month, the UCL School of Management careers team welcomed experts from a number of key industries to Level 50 of One Canada Square for the Enhancing Your Interview Technique: Group Mock Interviews event. Designed to provide postgraduate students with key insights on the ways in which they can make an impact during interviews, the event brought students together with professionals from major companies, including Accenture, Burberry and Chanel.
In the session, students practiced answering questions in a series of in-person mini interviews conducted in small groups. They then received on-the-spot feedback from expert employer representatives. The questions asked by our experts represented the types of questions that students would likely encounter during the interview process, such as ‘can you tell us about a time when you had to negotiate with someone to reach a decision?’ and ‘can you decribe a time when you needed to come up with a creative solution to a problem?’
On the day, we were delighted to welcome employer representatives from the following companies:

- UBS
As a result of the event, we hope that students can approach interviews with greater confidence and experience and that they are more prepared to tackle the many different types of interview questions that employers may ask.
